Food Service Rotation:
Lee County Schools

I had the privilege to complete my school food service rotation at Lee County Schools. During this rotation, I got the opportunity to complete projects such as menu costing, create sample menus, work at Beauregard High School and Elementary school, and even create a menu item that was taste tested in the schools. I was also able to survey the kids on satisfaction and allowed them to give feedback on what we could improve on with the dish. I loved working with the kids and my preceptors were wonderful, I am so glad I got the opportunity to see everything that the Child Nutrition Director does and how complex the job is.
